![]() ![]() The standard way of practicing, freestyle allows you to do whatever you want.The different modes within practice mode are as follows. A very cool feature allows you to go into the command list of each character, select a move, and the character will then perform that move. You can see frame advantage and disadvantages (with the "Hit Analysis" feature), and also the damage and hit properties of every move. Practice lets you choose two characters and toy a bit with the fighting system, and practice combos, and strategies. You cannot unlock characters or see any endings once you complete a 1 on 1 session however. Playing through it against the computer is similar to Arcade Mode, where you fight in eight different stages and against the boss. Both characters gain energy between fights as well.įeel like taking a break from the regular tag style game-play and bringing it back to the Tekken 3 way of fighting? 1 on 1 lets you choose one character and play against a computer or human opponent who is using one character as well. The enemy becomes more difficult as you progress, and it ends once one of your characters is dead. Each match is one round long, and you cannot pause the game. In Survival, you choose two characters and use them to fight against an unlimited series of enemies. Survival mode is just as the name implies. Instead of seeing endings or unlocking characters, Time Attack (of course) measures the time in which it took for you to complete the game and stores it as a record. Very much like Arcade Mode, you fight in eight stages and against the final boss. Time Attack is a race against the clock through an arcade-style succession of fighting. This pattern continues until one of the players has only one character left, causing a "2 vs. Each fight ends after one character has been knocked out, and the next chosen character comes in and takes the place of the fallen fighter. The first fight in a Team Battle uses the first two characters chosen in a tag style match. Team Battle allows you to choose up to eight different characters and fight against a computer or human opponent. Arcade mode is also the only mode that allows you to unlock characters.Īlthough you can play against a friend in arcade mode, VS Battle is a more convenient way for two friends to play each other in a series of matches. All endings are in real time (rendered in the game engine) except for Unknown’ s ending. Once you complete arcade mode you will then be treated to a short ending for the first character you picked in your pair. ![]() Unknown constantly regains health up to the red part of her life bar, so a good way to beat her is by using tag juggles (see System). The eighth battle is against the boss (named "Unknown") and is only one round long no matter what the setting is in the options menu. In arcade mode, you select a pair of characters and progress through eight different battles against various enemies. Your standard fight to the finish, arcade mode is formatted the same as Tekken Tag Tournament for the arcade. ![]()
